DNA reserach (genetic genealogy) is actually the extension of "paper" research. Mostly in the case that that "paper" research cannot give an answer anymore about the relationship between families. Such as relationshipresearch between Dutch, Belgium, French and other families who were fled and separated from their country and family during wars and revolutions in the period 1500-1700 in Europe caused by religious, political, social, economical and militairy disturbances.

PhilGene manages her genetic genealogic researchprojects at Family Tree DNA (FTDNA), a professional and reliable supplier of genetic genealogic tests on father-, mother- and familyline research. Do you want to join it, just let us know!

PhilGene is specialized in history and migrations in the 17 Provinces of the Nedtherlands and France between 1500 and 1700. Important moments in this history are the 8 internal French wars (1562-1598), the iconoclasm (1566), the 80 years war with Spain (1568-1648), the French expansion wars (1643-1715), etc. and all the additional economical, religious and social-society turmoil. Through history, genetics and genealogy PhilGene tries to give family research a place in history. Through DNA research PhilGene tries to kill the family barriers where church records cease and connects families biologically in another timeframe, which was not possible through "paper" research.
